The Colette Caillat Foundation of the Institut de France will award a Prize which will be given either to a work of scientific level in Indian studies, preferably, but not exclusively, in French, or to a research project. It will be awarded on proposal of the jury of the Foundation.
For a publication the candidates' applications must include:
- An application letter to the Prize written by the candidate.
- The candidate’s CV.
- The candidate’s list of publications.
- Three copies of the book for which the application is submitted or, if it is in the press, an official document showing that the publication is planned for sure (name and address of the publisher, title of the series, etc.).
- When appliable, any information about other financial helps already obtained for this publication.
- A summary (1 page) giving the contents of the book and emphasizing its contribution to the subject ;
- quote of the editor or expense of publication.
For a research project the candidates’ application (5 copies) must include:
- An application letter to the Prize written by the candidate.
- The candidate’s CV.
- The candidate’s list of publications.
- A research proposal (3 pages maximum) ;
- Asker sum.
The deadline for submitting applications is: May 1, 2017
Each candidate’s application will be examined by an international jury composed of specialists and presided over by the Secrétaire Perpétuel of the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres.
The Prize Colette Caillat will be announced on the occasion of the solemn meeting of the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres in November 2017.
