2016 Cochran Fellowship Program

The US Embassy Tbilisi is pleased to announce the opening of the annual United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Cochran Fellowship Program (CFP) competition for short-term (2-3 weeks) training in the U.S. for senior and mid-level agriculturists, managers and administrators concerned with agricultural development, trade, agribusiness management and marketing from the public and private sectors.  CFP is part of the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, Office of Capacity Building and Development, Trade and Scientific Exchanges Division.
Program objectives are to assist Georgia to develop agricultural systems necessary to meet the food needs of its domestic populations; and to strengthen and enhance trade linkages with other countries.

In Fiscal Year 2016 priority topics for Georgia will be:

1.      Agricultural Cooperative Development

2.      Agribusiness Management and Marketing
