The Arte Laguna Prize is an international art competition aimed at promoting and enhancing contemporary art. The contest stands out in the global art scene for the variety of its partnerships and opportunities offered to artists, and is recognized worldwide as a real springboard for the artists’ career.

9 Contest categories: painting, sculpture and installation, photographic art, video art and short films, performance, virtual art, digital graphics, land art and this year's new entry, urban art.
The theme is free and there are no age or nationality restrictions.

The international jury will select 115 artists for:
inclusion in the final exhibition in the Arsenale of Venice, Italy in March 2018
- 5 cash prizes of € 7,000 each
- 3 personal exhibitions in international Art Galleries
- 3 collaborations with companies and art management platforms
- 3 International Festivals
- 1 Sustainability and Art Prize
- publication in the official catalogue

ARS (Art Reuse Sustainability) of glass
Prize of 3,000 Euro for the winning project that enhances glass as part of the RRR strategies (Reuse, Recycle, Reduce).

Enter the 12th Arte Laguna Prize to win a rich art residency program from Venice to San Francisco, from the Mauritius to Shanghai and Kolkata: extraordinary opportunities to experience new cultures, create new works and participate in new activities in multicultural settings.

To apply for the 11 Residencies, submit at least 2 works to one of the contest categories: painting, sculpture and installation, photographic art, video art and short films, performance, virtual art, digital graphics, land art and urban art.

- San Francisco Art Residency, San Francisco USA
Art Residency for 1 month + final exhibition
The residency includes: Tech Shop membership package to access industrial tools and equipment to improve skills and build new projects, accommodation, logistics support, final exhibition.

- The Art Department - Casa dell’Arte International Artists' Residency, Bodrum Turkey
Art residency from 2 to 8 weeks + final exhibition
The residency includes: round trip flight ticket, board and lodging, studio, materials, logistics support, final exhibition at Casa dell'Arte.

- GLO'ART, Lanaken Belgium
Art residency from 1 to 12 weeks + final exhibition
The residency includes: travel expenses, accommodation, work spaces, materials, logistics support, grant of 250 Euro per week, final exhibition at the GLO'ART centre.

- Espronceda, Barcelona Spain
Art Residency from 3 to 6 weeks + final exhibition
The residency includes: accommodation, curatorial assistance, studio, support for materials, final exhibition or another public activity, involvement in the activities realized by the art centre.

- Basu Foundation for the Arts, Kolkata India
Art Residency for 1 month + final exhibition
The residency includes: board and lodging, studio, curatorial assistance on site, introduction into the Indian cultural scene, a grant for the creation of the works.

- Artistic Serigraphy Fallani, Venice Italy
Art Residency for 10 days for 3 artists + creation of the silk screen-printing work + open day
The residency includes: accommodation, assistance, creation of a silk screen-printing work in 50 copies.

- Farm Cultural Park, Favara, Sicily Italy
Art residency of 10 days + final exhibition
The residency includes: accommodation, studio, curatorial assistance on site, logistics support. - Arte Sella, Trentino Italy Art residency of 10 days + ideation of a site-specific project for Val di Sella The residency includes: board and lodging, assistance on site, a grant for the journey up to maximum 1,000 Euro.

The residency includes: board and lodging, assistance on site, a grant for the journey up to maximum 1,000 Euro. The project created during the residency could be produced at Arte Sella discretion.

- The Swatch Art Peace Hotel, Shanghai China
Art residency from 3 to 6 months + final exhibition
The residency includes: journey, accommodation and breakfast, logistics support, workshops, involvement in the local artistic scene and in all the activities related to The Swatch Art Peace Hotel (exhibitions, catalogues, website). An artistic “trace” will be given to The Swatch Art Peace Hotel and it will be included in international exhibitions during and after the residency.

- Murano Glass ArtResidency, Venice Italy
Art residency of 1 month + creation of the work in glass
The residency includes: accommodation, round trip journey for a maximum of 1,000 Euro, grant of 500 Euro, realization of the project with the master glassmakers.

- Maradiva Cultural Residency, Flic-en-Flac Mauritius
Cultural residency of 1 month at Maradiva Villas Resort in collaboration with Basu Foundation.
The residency includes: journey, accommodation at the tourist resort Maradiva, logistics support, studio, involvement in the local artistic scene, final exhibition.

3 Business for Art Prizes
Collaborations with companies and art management platforms, meant to connect creativity with the business world.
-Zanetto Craftsmanship, Padua Italy: Prize of 2,000 Euro for the winning product design for a vase which will contain at least one noble metal sheet, and realization of the project.
-Biafarin, Canada: 12 Gold Membership Packages for 12 artists, 12 Biafarin Blue Membership Packages. Prize of US$ 4,000 to 4 selected artists (Each US$ 1,000)
-Artmajeur, France: Promotion of 1 artist through the platform and the services of the portal artmajeur.com For the finalist artists: a free Platinum account, for 1 year
3 Festivals & Exhibitions
International collaborations with Festivals and Organizations to create a network where artists, visibility, and new projects meet.
-Art Stays, Ptuj Slovenia: participation in the Festival and 7-day stay
-Art Nova 100, Beijing China: exhibition of the 10 finalist videos in Summer 2018
-Open International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations, Venice Italy: participation in the exhibition for 1 month

FINAL EXHIBITION: ARSENALE OF VENICE

The major collective exhibition will take place in the historical location of the Arsenale in Venice in March 2018: 30 works of painting, 25 sculptures and installations, 25 works of photographic art, 10 videos, 5 land art works, 5 works of urban art, 5 works of virtual art, 5 works of digital graphics, 5 performances.which will be performed live during the exhibition’s opening ceremony.
