Art Kudos is an annual international juried competition that serves to recognize and honor excellence in the visual arts.
Drawings, paintings, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, installations,wood, glass, ceramics, fiber art and mixed media are eligible. Media not accepted: video/film, wearable art (clothing or jewelry). All works submitted must be original in design and concept.
Entry
Horizontal images should have a width of 1000 pixels or more, and vertical images should have a height of 850 pixels or more. Images must be in a .jpg, .png, or .tif format and in RGB color mode (not CMYK). A resolution of 72 dpi is all that is necessary (images should not be greater than 300 dpi). Save your images with as little compression as possible (i.e. choose the best quality) while maintaining a file size less than 1 MB for each image.
Judge
Each year a distinguished art professional is chosen to serve as the awards judge and ensure a diverse range of perspectives and expertise. For the 2016 edition David Dodge Lewis will serve as the awards judge. Lewis is the Barger-Barclay Professor of Fine Arts at Hampden-Sydney College.
Entry fee
35 USD for 3 images.
Eligibility
The competition is open to artists anywhere in the world, 18 years of age or older.
Prize
Artists who are selected as finalists benefit from world-wide exposure in a year-long online exhibition. No commissions are taken for sales generated via the exhibition, and works submitted do not have to be available for sale. Sales will be encouraged, however, and artists will have the option to display their contact information beside their images.
Moreover, a total of 4,500 USD will be awarded as follows:
• Best of Show - 1,200 USD
• Second Place - 1,000 USD
• Third Place - 750 USD
• Founder's Award of Distinction - 500 USD
• (3) Merit Awards - 250 USD each
• (3) Honorable Mentions - 100 USD each

All participants must go to the official website, submit a completed entry form, submit images of their work, send $35 entry fee.
