Agrifood transitions represent one of the major societal challenges of today. The European Society for Rural Sociology is organizing a Summer School to serve as a forum for discussion on this broad theme. It welcomes research papers that reflect theoretical and empirical aspects of socio-technical transition processes, explore innovative rural/urban initiatives in different regional contexts and evaluate the impact of ongoing changes.
The Summer School is organized for PhD students in rural sociology and related fields of study. The school is intended to provide a platform for discussing and sharing knowledge among students and senior researchers. Participants will have the opportunity to present research outputs, gain feedback from invited senior researchers, hear lectures from the invited speakers and take part in a guided field-trip.
