MSc– and BSc– projects and projects for Praktika (Drug Discovery, Bioinorganic Chemistry) are available in the group for highly motivated students.

PhD-positions will be available starting from 01.01.2020:

We are looking for talented synthetic chemists, who are interested in development of either

(a) cancer specific aminoferrocene-based prodrugs or

(b) cancer specific siRNA-based drugs.

The work will include organic synthesis, spectroscopic (UV-vis, fluorescence), chromatographic (HPLC, TLC) and mass spectrometric (ESI and MALDI-TOF MS) investigation of the prodrugs and tests of their effects on cancer cell lines.

A potential candidate should hold an MSc-title (or equivalent, e.g. Diplom) in organic chemistry or related field. Candidates with BSc-degree can start in the MSc programm of the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy. No previous working experience with live cells is required. The corresponding training will be provided.
