Manfred Eigen fellowship for postdoctoral fellows from abroad

The successful candidates will obtain a Manfred Eigen postdoctoral fellowship (up to 30.000 €/year, no tax deductions) to join a MPI-BPC department/research group for an initial period of two years. Thereafter, postdocs may obtain an employment contract (TVöD13) to extend their postdoctoral studies for additional three years.

To qualify for the Manfred Eigen fellowship, you have published the work of your PhD thesis less than one year ago, you feel that your scientific interests match ongoing science in one of our departments/research groups and you are eager to continue with excellent research in a vibrant scientific atmosphere.

To apply for the Manfred Eigen fellowship, your application should be sent to a director or group leader of the MPI-BPC. It must include an application letter, your CV including the list of publications, copies of up to three most important publications and two letters of recommendation combined in a single PDF file.

Since the number of Manfred Eigen fellowships for foreign postdocs is limited, they may not be available from every department or research group at any time. Please inquire the availability from the department or the research group you are interested to join before sending your formal application.

There are no application deadlines.
