ELBE Postdoctoral Fellowship Program 2018, Center for Systems Biology Dresden, Germany

In addition to postdoc openings in individual research groups, the ELBE Postdoctoral Fellows Program offers fully funded fellowships on a competitive basis. We seek strong postdoctoral researchers with backgrounds in Computational Biology, Theoretical Physics, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Cell and Developmental Biology and a strong interest to work in the cross-disciplinary environment of the CSBD. ELBE Postdoctoral Fellows are independent and are expected to collaborate with more than one research group to bridge between disciplines. The appointment is typically for two years with the possibility of a one-year extension to three years in total. Extensions beyond three years are not possible.

• a concisely worded research statement of the proposed work during your stay at CSBD (1-2 pages), preferably oriented towards the mission and interests of the Center.

Applications are considered by a scientific committee, which meets twice a year. The next application deadline is August 15, 2018. Applicants will be informed of the outcome soon after the committee meeting and invited for on-site interviews. Successful candidates should take up their positions within four months of final acceptance.
