The Copenhagen Summer School in Phenomenology and Philosophy of Mind is an annual event organized by the Center of Subjectivity Research and co-funded by the PhD School at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen.

Intentionality, Perception, Memory, Corporeality and Intercorporeality, Illness and Suffering, Enactivism, Methodology, Qualitative research.

The Summer School will provide essential insights into central themes within the philosophy of mind, viewed from a phenomenological perspective. It will consist of a mixture of keynote lectures, PhD presentations and seminars (32 hours total), aimed at advanced MA students and PhD students. Post Docs are also encouraged to apply.

ECTS: 

Participation in the Summer School gives 2,5 ECTS points, 4,0 if you give a talk. The PhD school at the Faculty of Humanities will provide participants with diplomas on the condition that they are present at least 80% of the time and fill in an evaluation form the last day of the summer school.

Registration: 

The Summer School is primarily open to advanced MA students, PhD students or Post Docs in philosophy or related fields.

Early Bird registration fee (until 3 April) is 850 DKK including VAT.
Regular registration fee (from 4 April - 8 May) is 1000 DKK including VAT.
The fee covers coffee, one common dinner, a reception at the Center for Subjectivity Research and an excursion in Copenhagen.

(Danish MA students do have to register, but they are not required to pay the registration fee in order to attend the Summer School. However, if they wish to participate in the social activities - which is strongly recommended - they do have to pay).

Below, you will find a link to the registration form with a link to the webshop of the University of Copenhagen. Here you simply pay the registration fee for the Summer School with your credit card.

No funding is available from the University of Copenhagen or the Center for Subjectivity Research.

Registration criteria:

Procedure for registration:

1) Fill out all the required fields in the registration form.

2) Click the link to the University of Copenhagen webshop, fill out the required fields and pay the Summer School fee. You will receive an email confirming the payment. Now go back to the registration form.

3) Check the box "I have completed the payment on the webshop and completed the registrationform."

4) Hit "submit".

Abstract:

The program has a place for ten student presentations during the Summer School programme. If you would like to give a talk at the Summer School you can submit an abstract. If your abstract is selected for presentation,  you will not only get to give a plenary talk; in addition, you will receive prepared feedback from the keynote speaker of the day you are speaking.
