International Training Course on
Volunteering as a Mechanism for Increasing Youth Employability

In response to the growing youth unemployment Europewide, “Youth Initiative Centre” NGO /Armenia/ launches partnership process for a 6-day international training course aimed at promoting volunteering as a mechanism for increasing youth employability.
The TC introduces the 3R methodology /Recruitment, Retainment, and Recognition / on promoting volunteerism as a mechanism for increasing youth employability. During the TC, the participants will acquire knowledge, skills and tools on recruitment, retainment, and recognition of voluntary work; how to apply voluntary experience for increasing employment opportunities /attitude, skill competence, networking/ get the chance to reflect upon volunteering as a mechanism for bringing positive change and to share best practices on volunteering and youth participation in different European countries; and finally build partnership among civil society organizations from the Programme and Neighboring Partner countries concerning volunteering and youth employment.

Methodology
The training course will be based on the principles of non-formal learning and the main education methods used will be: getting started with energizers, brainstorming sessions, active discussion and experience sharing, work in small groups and interactive presentations of the work results, role-plays and simulations, using open space technique for project development, etc. A particular emphasis will be put on the application of media and PR tools in recruitment, retainment, and recognition of voluntary work. The TC will encompass a study visit to the local organizations dealing with youth participation and volunteering on local, national, and international levels.
Prior to the arrival, the participants from each country will be asked to prepare video materials depicting volunteering in their country and a survey on youth employment situation in their reality.
The non-formal learning will be recognized through certificates of participation – the YouthPass.

Who can Participate
You are welcome to make your participation in the TC possible if you:
- Are a youth worker or a youth leader
- Are open for getting knowledge, skills and tools on promoting voluntary work as a means of increasing youth employability;
- Have experience that would be interesting to share with your international colleagues;
- Seek new partners and cooperation ideas under the umbrella topic of volunteering and youth employability.

Language
The training will be held in English.
Finance:
The TC covers accommodation, food and local transport throughout the training duration.
