What?

In social and political debates there is a growing attention for film documentation, reports, clips and political campaigns by moving images. Via social networks such material can be nationally and internationally distributed quickly, cost-effective and with wide coverage. Thus, political relevant filmic statements up to longer investigative documentations have become a high effective mean of state-independent political engagement.

On the other hand, a vast number of images filmed with private devices provide us with an immense quantity of highly relevant and explosive film material which is waiting for journalists and documentary filmmakers to be exploited and distributed.

Our workshop will bring together documentary/video filmmakers and representatives of NGOs from different countries to discuss, analyse and develop the production and distribution of social relevant cross-border-documentations, reports, clips and campaigns by moving images.
