The Czechoslovak Studies Association (CSA) is pleased to announce its Stanley Z. Pech Prize Competition for 2016. Eligible is any article or essay (including a chapter in an edited volume) by a CSA member that concerns the history of Czechoslovakia, its successor states, or its predecessor provinces, and was published in print form (complete with volume and issue numbers) by a CSA member in 2014 and/or 2015. The Pech Prize Committee welcomes submissions from all academic disciplines, provided that they contain a substantial historical component.
To apply for the Pech Prize, please email an electronic copy of your own work or that of a colleague no later than August 1, 2016 to the chair of the Pech Prize Committee:

The prize winner will receive an award in the amount of $200. The prize, as well as an honorable mention citation if awarded, will be formally announced at the November 2016 ASEEES Convention in Washington DC during the annual meeting of the Czechoslovak Studies Association.
