Founder Institute Silicon Valley Summer Program 2017, USA

Publish Date: Jun 14, 2017

Deadline: Jun 16, 2017

The Founder Institute

The Founder Institute is the world’s premier idea-stage accelerator and startup launch program. Through a challenging and rigorous curriculum, we provide early-stage and aspiring entrepreneurs with the structure, training, mentor support, and global network needed to start an enduring company. In addition, the Founder Institute is the only program of its kind that accepts entrepreneurs with day jobs and shares equity with all participants.

If you are ready to make several years of progress on your startup in just 3.5 months, then apply.

Pre-Curriculum (Public Events)

Before the program begins, the Founder Institute hosts a "pre-curriculum" of public events to help aspiring entrepreneurs improve their ideas and startup skills.

Program Sessions (Private Events)

The Founder Institute provides a rigorous, comprehensive company-building curriculum to guide you through validating your ideas, performing customer development, building a team, preparing for funding, and more. Through weekly training and feedback sessions led by top startup mentors, office hours with local directors, group meetings with fellow founders, and challenging company building assignments, participants in the program make several years of progress in just 3.5 months.

Mentors

The Founder Institute carefully recruits 20-40 Mentors per semester, and we typically only accept Mentors that have built or led fast-growth technology businesses.

Our Mentors lead the weekly training sessions, and their mandate is to help our participants by sharing their experience, outlining the latest tactics, and providing critical feedback. In addition, through the Founder Institute's Shared Liquidity Pool, Mentors are strongly incentivized to help our companies after Graduation, and many have become formal advisors and investors to our Graduate companies.

Graduates

Many of the world’s fastest-growing startups have used the Founder Institute to transition from employee to entrepreneur, test their startup ideas, build a team, get their first customers, raise funding, and more. Check out some highlights from our portfolio across six continents and 170+ cities below.

Who Should Apply?

The Founder Institute focuses on founders instead of ideas. If you are talented and motivated to do the work required to build an enduring tech or tech-enabled company, then we want to hear from you. This includes aspiring founders with a full-time job, solo founders, teams, and founders of established companies that are pre-funding.

What to Expect?

The Final Admissions Deadline for the Silicon Valley Summer 2017 Semester is 2017-06-19. All applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so the sooner you apply, the better your chances of being accepted.

After completing the application, you will be invited to take our Predictive Admissions Assessment, which is our main criteria for evaluating applicants.
