CENTER Project Launch Grant in Photography

The Project Launch is granted to an outstanding photographer working in fine art series or documentary project.

The grant includes a cash award to help complete or disseminate the works, as well as providing a platform for exposure and professional development opportunities.

This grant is awarded to complete or nearly completed projects that would benefit from the grant award package. It requires signature of a contract to participate in an exhibition during Review Santa Fe.

Guidelines

ELIGIBLE WORK
Work derived from all photographic processes are accepted, as well as mixed media work that is photo-based (only still images are accepted, no multimedia components). Work can have been made at any time and work that has been submitted previously may be re-submitted.

GRANT ELIGIBILITY
If a project has been part of a major metropolitan museum one or two person exhibition, published in book form by a major photographic publishing house with a print run of 2,000 or more; and/or the photographer is represented by an major international photographic agency they are ineligible for the Project Launch and Project Development Grants. The grant funds may be used for most expenses related to the project. Please be aware that no funds in addition to the $5,000 are available for exhibition or travel expenses to Santa Fe. However, you may use the $5,000 for those expenses. The cash award is the total amount dispersed.

Project Launch Grant is for a COMPLETED or nearly completed body of work. Photographic projects that may be a work in progress but may also be considered as a cohesive body of work. You may choose to submit to both the Project Launch and Project Development Grant. However, if the situation arises that the project is awarded from one grant, it would be disqualified from the other.

Grant recipients will be required to sign a contract and must fulfill contractual obligations in order to receive full funds. A grant report will be due at the end of the contract. Submission to the Project Launch and/or Project Development Grant indicates acceptance of the terms.
