CEMS Exchange Travel Scholarships
The University of Sydney Business School is pleased to offer financial assistance to Master of Management (CEMS) students participating on exchange to a recognised CEMS Partner University.
The scholarships valued at $2000 will be offered to students participating on exchange for their first semester on exchange as part of the Master of Management (CEMS) degree. Up to 5 scholarships are available each year. Two scholarships will be offered in semester 1 and two scholarships will be offered in semester 2. Depending on the calibre of the eligible group, scholarship places may vary. An additional place may be offered at the Program Director's discretion.
Conditions of Award
The scholarships shall be awarded under the following conditions:
- The scholarships are open to local and international, postgraduate students currently enrolled in the postgraduate coursework program, Master of Management (CEMS) under the administration of the University of Sydney Business School.
- To be eligible for the scholarships, students must be undertaking one or two semesters of exchange at one of the recognised CEMS partner institutions and undertake approved study which may be credited back to the Master of Management (CEMS) degree
The scholarships are valued at $2,000 each and tenable only during the student’s first semester participating on exchange. Up to five scholarships are available each year. Two scholarships may be awarded in semester one and two scholarships may be awarded in semester two in the academic year. Depending on the calibre of the eligible group scholarship places may vary. An additional scholarship place may be offered at the Program Director’s discretion.
The scholarships will be awarded automatically and ranked on the basis of academic merit (determined by Weighted Average Mark) for all University of Sydney units of study completed in the student’s first semester in the Master of Management (CEMS). No application is necessary
To ensure selections encompass the full group that are eligible to receive the scholarships, notification of a scholarship offer will be in writing after the recipient’s exchange places have been confirmed and all first semester, Master of Management CEMS results have been posted for the departing group. The Business School will endeavour to make payments prior to Semester 2 group’s departure but it is envisioned that the selection process may not be completed until August and AUD $2000 payment will be made to the recipient’s nominated bank account in September. Semester 1 departing students are expected to receive payment between February to March.
The scholarship is offered for, and is tenable in the Master of Management CEMS degree and is not transferable to another degree program.
Requests to suspend the scholarship after a confirmed offer will only be approved under exceptional circumstances such as a severe medical condition which limits the student’s capacity to undertake the exchange. Such requests must be supported by the Program Director, Master of Management (CEMS).
Scholarship recipients must enrol full-time and meet the conditions of their degree program and exchange arrangements during the tenure of the scholarship or are liable to repay the scholarship funding.
The scholarships may be held concurrently with other scholarship funding that assists with the Student’s Exchange Program
