THEMES

Humanity: Each person has a story to tell. Capture images of people around you: your family, your neighbours, people you’ve encountered while travelling or even yourself. Show us some of the many facets of humanity.
The Environment: Nature and wildlife will never cease to amaze us. Show us the outstanding beauty of our living world, whether through wide landscapes or close-ups of natural elements, animals, plants or insects.
Interconnections: Humans are by nature interactive beings. Show us how we transform and create things. This can be seen in architecture, domestic pets, urban life, objects, transportation, machines, agriculture, fishing, cooking and almost anywhere you look!
Some photos may fit in more than one theme; enter your photos where you would like them to be judged.

FAQ

If you have questions about the contest, you may write us at twwli@photolife.com, and we will get back to you shortly, within regular business hours. Below are some frequently asked questions and situations, along with their responses.

My image isn’t uploading. Verify which error message you are receiving. It’s possible that your file is too big. (It should weigh less than 1 MB). It could also be missing some information like the image title or the category you’d like to enter the image into. Check to make sure that the name of the file doesn’t have any accents, spaces or characters other than letters and numbers.

I don’t know how to resize my images. It’s a straightforward process that most editing software can do. Here is a step-by-step explanation to help.

I didn’t get the email with the participation instructions. First check your Spam emails to make sure it didn’t end up in there. Our emails come from a recognized and secure service, but certain email systems filter messages that come from a new source. If the email is not there, write us at twwli@photolife.com, and we will resend you the message.

I can’t log into my user account. Make sure you have correctly copied the log-in details from the email with the instructions.

Do you have rules about editing photos? The short answer is no. We evaluation images based on their originality, connection to the theme, composition, and technical and exposure quality. Editing is allowed, but it should serve the image.

Is it possible to change images that I’ve already submitted? Yes, you can up until the contest closes. You may replace the images that you’ve submitted by uploading new images in their place. Log into your account and click Modify for the image you’d like to change and then upload the new file. Don’t forget to provide the new title and category for the new image.

I’d like to add more images beyond the 10 that I paid for. Until the contest closes, you can submit as many images as you’d like. Log in and click on “Add Images to My Participation.” You’ll be directed towards the payment process, and once your payment has been confirmed, you will receive a new email with participation instructions.
