Postdoc position in functional cancer genomics
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoc to join our team of cell/molecular biologists and bioinformaticians at the Institute of Pathology, University Hospital Basel, Basel, Switzerland under the supervision of Dr Salvatore Piscuoglio and Dr Charlotte K Y Ng. Dr Piscuoglio and Dr Ng employ multi-omics, in conjunction with cell/molecular biology approaches to identify biomarkers and molecular mechanisms of cancer. The laboratory has extensive collaborations with top national and international investigators in molecular pathology and cancer 'omics. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop, apply and optimize cutting-edge cell/molecular biology methods to further our understanding of cancer biology.
Qualifications
The primary requirements are expertise in cell and molecular biology techniques and the ability to work independent and to supervise PhD students. Additionally, the candidate should have basic knowledge in histology methodologies (FISH and IHC). The ideal candidate would have strong oral and written communications skills in English. Track record in the field, including publications as the first author, is highly desirable. Past experience in genomics would be a bonus.
