6 Full Scholarships to Learn Armenian in Yerevan with ASPIRANTUM from Melik-Bakhshyan family

Melik-Bakhsyan family is announcing 6 full scholarships for students in Armenian Studies and relevant fields to participate in ASPIRANTUM’s Armenian language 2 weeks winter course 2021. The scholarship holds the name of Professor Stepan Melik-Bakhshyan a prominent Armenian historian, author of numerous books and articles on medieval Armenian history, and the co-author of monumental 5 volumes dictionary of Armenian toponyms. 

The Melik-Bakhshyan scholarship:

Up to 3 Melik-Bakhshyan scholarships are available to those students who meet the eligibility criteria presented below and are interested to learn Armenian in Yerevan during ASPIRANTUM Armenian language winter school 2021.

The participation fee for the 2 weeks Armenian Language course is $990. With this scholarship, the Melik-Bakhshyan family will cover $680 and the student will have to pay $310 for the course. 

Who is eligible?

Please apply to this scholarship only if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Only undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA), and postgraduate (Ph.D.) students in Armenian Studies and related fields enrolled in universities and other academic institutions from the below-specified countries are eligible to apply to the Melik-Bakhshyan scholarship. 

The ideal candidates will be 19 - 29 years old by the start of the program. 

Only the citizens of the following countries are eligible for this scholarship:

Albania, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay.
