Russian Summer School on Institutional Analysis - RSSIA 2019

Center for Institutional Studies of National Research University Higher School of Economics is pleased to invite you to the XIII Russian Summer School on Institutional Analysis which will take place in June 30 - July 6, 2019 in Moscow region. 

The aim of the RSSIA is to promote research in New Institutional Economics and foster scientific exchange between young researchers, scientists, faculty, and students. It will continue the tradition of previous Summer Schools with paper presentations, workshops, tutorials, faculty presentations, and networking opportunities. 

The Summer School's scope includes (but is not limited to) such topics as:
— economics of public sector, bureaucracy, and procurement;
— economics of education;
— behavioral and experimental economics;
— banks and financial markets;
— industrial organization, government regulation, and law enforcement;
— property rights, institutions, and economic development.

Participation

Young researchers, faculty, PhD and Master students are welcome to participate in RSSIA. The working language is English.

Deadline for applications is March 20, 2019. 

As a RSSIA participant, you will have the opportunity:

- to attend the lectures of distinguished experts in various spheres of institutional economics and adjoining disciplines;

- to present and discuss your current research during seminars;

- to exchange the research experience with other RSSIA participants and faculty members;

- and consequently, to improve your research significantly!

Fees

There is no registration fee. Organizers cover participants’ accommodation and food costs. However, participants will have to cover their travel and visa costs. 

Application

Participants are selected on the basis of their applications. You should apply online

- fill in a registration form;

- write a motivation letter (no longer than 300 words);

- provide a current research project description (no longer than 1500 words + references) with a short abstract (no longer than 200 words).

To apply, please fill in the form below in English and send your research project proposal no later than March 20, 2019. Be sure that your project proposal is in line with the requirements.

Requirements for research project description:

Send your research project proposal in English in Microsoft Word. Title it with your LAST NAME (.doc or .docx).

Please make sure that your project proposal is no longer than 1500 words (MS Word, Times New Roman, size 12, space 1.5, top&bottom margins - 2, left margin - 3, right margin - 1.5).

Please make sure that your proposal includes all the required components: project title, author(s) name(s), email(s), affiliation(s), introduction, aim of the project, hypotheses and methodology, (expected) results and references.

Project proposals in any format other than an MS Word document and/or longer than 1500 words (excluding references) and/or missing any of the required parts will not be considered.
