Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC) - Armenia invites you to a presentation on

“Factors Affecting Media Trust in Armenia”

to be delivered by Adrineh Der-Boghossian (CRRC-Armenia Junior Fellow)

Media research has indicated increasingly lower public trust in the news media, which is a concern not least because of the important role the media plays in a democracy. The 2013 Alternative Resources in Media (ARM) survey data were used to explore the factors affecting media trust across various media (broadcast, print, and online media). In particular, it examined the relationship between media trust and media use, trust in government, and knowledge of media ownership. The study also tested the relationship between media trust and demographic variables (age, sex, income, and education).

Adrineh Der-Boghossian holds a BA degree in psychology from York University in Toronto, Canada, and an MSc in Communication Studies from VUB in Brussels, Belgium, where her research focused on the adoption and use of ICTs by NGOs in Armenia. She has an extensive experience in Armenia's news media industry and currently teaches at the American University of Armenia.
