The lecture will give an overview of the Robotics Academy at Glendale College as well as explore the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) (the leading U.S. center for robotic exploration of the solar system, which makes extraordinary space robots). The idea of creating a peer to peer network between Armenia and Diaspora engineers and scientists, as well as the need for establishing Maker/Hacker-spaces in Armenia will also be discussed.
Richard Ohanian is a NASA JPL Engineer and an adjunct faculty of Robotics and Electronics at Glendale Community College, where he has helped establishing GCC’s Robotics Academy and developed/taught courses in Electronics and Robotics. He is also the founder of Ohaniom Enterprises LLC (2015) and ArmEngine (2004). Richard is a fellow member at Policy Forum Armenia and a council member at Armenian Engineers and Scientists of America. He is currently conducting a workshop on robotics at Tumo.
