Victor Pineda is an Adjunct Professor at the University of California, Berkeley and a Research Fellow at the World Institute on Disability. He is the author of The Capability Model of Disability: Assessing the Success of UAE Federal Law No. 29 of 2006 in the Emirate of Dubai" and "It's About Ability: An Explanation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities."
Victor was the recipient of a National Science Foundation (NSF) The language of the event is innovative research grant, a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship, the Thomas English. Jefferson Award, the Tom Clausen Fellowship for Business and Policy, and the AAPD Paul G. Hearne Leadership Award. He has worked closely with the U.S. Department of Treasury, World Bank, United Nations, UNESCO, UNICEF, and National Advisory Committees in developing programs and policies that include youth with disabilities as equal stakeholders in development.
