Social media manager - Internship

(Part-time with flexible schedule, unpaid) 

DURATION:     Three months with possible extension. Probation period is 2 weeks.

LOCATION:     RAU, Department of International Cooperation, office #318

WHEN:  Throughout the year.

ABOUT: The Department of International Cooperation supports the international activities of all Institutes, departments and centers at the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University.

The incumbents will work under the general supervision of the Head of the Department of International Cooperation.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content.
  • Create a regular publishing schedule.
  • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns.
  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including:
  • Develop relevant content topics to reach the target group.
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales.
  • Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions.
  • Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review.
  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing and social advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Assist in managing the website of the Department.
  • undertake any other relevant tasks when necessary.

In each individual case responsibilities will be identified based on the background, specific skills and interests of the incumbent.

MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Fluent knowledge of Armenian, Russian and English languages;
  • Strong translation and writing skills;
  • Knowledge of MS Office, internet, and social media;
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and maintain a flexible schedule;
  • Personal responsibility, accuracy and punctuality;
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually;
  • Ability to work in international environment and to cope with cultural diversity.

The interns will be provided with office space and internet access. Upon successful completion of the three-month internship the incumbent will be provided with a Letter of Reference.
