International Animation Festival, 29 June - 3 July, 2016

Only films produced in 2014–2016 and provided with English subtitles can be presented at the festival.
The festival does not charge any entry fee.
If you want to submit a film, please fill out the online entry form with a digital copy link attached or send us a DVD/Blu-Ray screener.
The package should have a tag saying “NO COMMERCIAL VALUE – FOR CULTURAL PURPOSES ONLY“.
We will inform you of the commission of experts´ final decision regarding the selection by the end of May 2016.

Online entry form

You must log in to fill out the entry form. After creating a new account, you will receive a confirmation email from the system to activate your account (please also check your spam folder). This allows you to log in as a registered user and fill in the online entry form.

The Festival competitive program includes:

a) The international competition of short animated films – Anča Award
b) The international competition of student short animated films – Anča Student Award
c) The international competition of animated music videos – Anča Music Video Award
d) The international competition of animated films for children – Anča Kids’ Award
e) The Slovak competition of animated films – Anča Slovak Award. The prize is sponsored and awarded by the Slovak Literary Fund.
f) The Slovak film distribution competition – Anča D Award. The prize is awarded by Film Europe Media Company.

Only animated films under 30 minutes completed after 1st January 2014 are accepted into the Festival’s competition program. Only films with a majority of Slovak producers are accepted into the Slovak competition of animated films – Anča Slovak Award and into the Slovak distribution competition – Anča D Award. The Slovak competition of animated films – Anča Slovak Award – is organized in partnership with the Slovak Literary Fund that sponsors and awards the prize to the winner. The Slovak film distribution competition- Anča D Award is organized in partnership with Film Europe Media Company.The Festival’s non-competitive program includes focuses, workshops, retrospectives, tributes, exhibitions and discussions.

Each selected film must be accompanied by detailed documentation, submitted by the given date, including:

a) fully completed entry form
b) film synopsis/brief summary of the film (in electronic form)
c) photograph of the director, CV and filmography (in electronic form)
d) dialogue list of the original version and its English translation (in electronic form)
Provided documentation will not be returned to submitters.

By sending entry forms, submitters give o. z. Anča the right to use a maximum 3 minute sequence from the selected film to promote the Fest Anča 2016 in any media. During the Festival, teasers of selected films will be screened at the festival venue, in TV spots promoting Fest Anča, on the website of the Festival, and in multimedia presentations during the festival. Fest Anča reserves the right to use film stills in promotional materials (festival catalogue, festival journal, leaflets, posters, billboards, website, and multimedia presentations), and provide them to the media for the purpose of disseminating information about the Festival.
