  • The competition has a two-stage selection process.

Selection: Stage 1 (online)

Our selectors will make a pre-selection on the basis of the images submitted. The image of the work must represent actual work(s) entered. The work shown must be available, if shortlisted, for the exhibition itself. During this stage, the judging panel will view all the images entered. The process is anonymous, as jurors are not given the names of the artists but have access to information such as title, size and medium. An artist’s signature that is part of the work is permitted. As a result of this process, the jury will shortlist up to 40 works that will progress through to stage 2. All shortlisted artists will be advised of the transportation options available regarding delivery and collection points of their works.

Selection: Stage 2 (final selection)

In this stage, the judges will view each work individually and will select the prize winners (except for the Public Choice Prize, which will be based on voting by the public). All exhibiting artists will be invited to the Private View.

  • The organisers, ArtGemini Prize and the jurors reserve the right to accept or reject any work for inclusion in the show. We reserve the right to refuse to exhibit any work deemed unacceptable due to poor craftsmanship or significant difference from the photograph or digital representation. All works on paper should be framed. Clip and aluminium frames are not acceptable.
