Mr. Artyom Tonoyan would share his experience as an international graduate student as well as a lecturer in Ethno-Political Conflicts and International Human Rights in Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He will also introduce some of the programs and research conducted at his university. Some of the important aspects of how the academe works in the United States, funding, endowments, alumni involvement as well as opportunities for students from the Republic of Armenia will also be discussed. He will also share some aspects of his dissertation to all interested parties.

BIO: Originally from Gyumri Mr. Tonoyan is a Ph.D. candidate in Religion, Politics, and Society at the J.M. Dawson institute of Church-State Studies at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. His dissertation is on the interaction of religion and politics and the formation of post-Soviet national identities in the South Caucasus. He is also the Assistant Book Review Editor for the Journal of Church and State (JCS), the premier academic publication on matters of religion and politics. The Journal is an imprint of the Oxford University Press.
