Salary: £39,317 p.a. (with more for an exceptional candidate) + excellent benefits, including a relocation package, five weeks annual leave, 10% non-contributory pension scheme, and subsidised gym membership.

Based: London with frequent travel to the South Caucasus

We are looking for a talented individual to lead on Alert’s engagement on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, implementing existing programme commitments and developing new project opportunities. The post holder will also effectively be Alert’s Country Manager for Armenia and Azerbaijan. Supported by Eurasia Programme staff, the post holder will be responsible for strategy development, donor relations, grants management and implementation of a portfolio of projects totalling £1 million per annum.

Educated to post graduate degree level (in social sciences or related field), you will have at least 5 years’ experience working at senior level in an international environment related to peacebuilding and of working in the South Caucasus in peacebuilding initiatives.  Experience managing high level relationships, including with donors, international organisations and authorities is also essential.

You will able to demonstrate fluency in English and Russian with excellent knowledge of the political, social and cultural context in the South Caucasus.
